Jozy Altidore

New England Revolution striker Josmer Volmy "Jozy" Altidore was born November 6, 1989.

The New York Red Bulls signed Altidore at 16 in 2006. In 2008, he joined Villarreal for $10 million.

Altidore was born in Livingston, New Jersey and raised in Boca Raton, Florida. Soccer was his childhood passion.

MetroStars (now New York Red Bulls) traded up to draft Altidore seventeenth in the 2006 MLS SuperDraft. Altidore spent most of 2006 in Florida finishing high school.

Altidore tied for third with four goals in the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Canada. He scored against Poland in Montreal, Brazil in Ottawa, and Austria in Toronto.

On November 17, 2007, Altidore debuted for Canada.On February 7, 2008, he headed home a Drew Moor cross in a friendly against Mexico in Houston, Texas.

Altidore was a 2007 ESPN Next Award nominee and an Adidas "Impossible is Nothing" star. EA Sports' North American FIFA 08 cover features Altidore, Ronaldinho, and Guillermo Ochoa.

Altidore encouraged YƩle Haiti donations after the 2010 Haiti earthquake. He discussed his family in Haiti and encouraged donations on CNN.
